Tip of the DayWindow-Eyes uses a special reading mode for web pages called Browse Mode. In Browse Mode, normal typing keys are used to perform special actions. For example, pressing the letter L will navigate through links on a web page. Pressing the letter H will navigate through headings, and so on. As you can imagine, typing in an edit box on a web page with Browse Mode enabled would not be possible. In fact, when you do, Window-Eyes will say, "Not a valid key press." That means you need to turn Browse Mode off in order to interact with a web page (filling out a form, for example). You can either press ENTER on a form control to toggle Browse Mode off, or you can press the Browse Mode hot key (CTRL-SHIFT-A by default). Once Browse Mode is off, you can type. Browse Mode will come back on automatically when a new page loads.
